YottaYotta

Not a bad picture if you consider we were moving in traffic and I just turned on the camera and "hip shot"

Valuable Property

This property is soooo valuable that the for sale sign is sponsored by Tide!

Jewell of the Tile

A business in Edmonton. Not sure if the spelling of "Jewell" is significant or just illiterate.

Nothing Like a Woolly Pup

Tina sent this one that she took on her trip to Fort Edmonton park last summer. It was posted as a period piece in the electric tram we rode on. As Tina said, "for all who like the idea of wiping with a puppy..."

Where's the Phone?

Here is another picture submitted by Dale!

"It is outside my office, but that would make a boring story for the sign.
I think we should perhaps speculate as to what this sign is really for. A rendevous place for spies or and alien landing place. "just look for the 'phone'," the commander tells the spy/alien. "pick it up and await instructions!"

But perhaps you could have a better story.

The truth is, my office is run but some people who suffer from inflated egos and this is their way of dealing with the fact that there is no reception area and there has to be some way for visitors to get in. When 'those in the know' were told that their should either be just the last four digits of the telephone # or a sign explaining you had to dial 9 first before the 7 numbers, they said there was no room for a sign. A girl I work with suggested if they take down the 'phone' sign they could put the instruction sign there. (if you don' know it's a phone, a sign pointing to it isn't going to help anyway)"

Trucks Hauling

I am always seeing funny signs I want to take pictures of but don't have a camera. I especially like punny business signs like "Shag-rug-la" and "Carpet-Diam" in Salt Lake and "Jewel of the Tile" here in Edmonton. I also once saw a porta-sign in front of a Ford dealership that said "WANTED: Used Car Salesman". Finally a couple weeks ago in Calgary I finally got this chance. So I thought I would start this blog to collect funny sign pictures that people collect. Don't be shy, send me your pics!
